  • Facebook users residing in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
  • Users must have been registered on Facebook between January 1, 2011, and May 30, 2014.

How much will users receive?

Most users will receive between $20 and $55, with a maximum payout of $200. The exact amount depends on the total number of people who claim the settlement.

How to claim compensation

  • Court-approved online forms will be available in 2-3 months.
  • Users who had a real name on their account and a profile picture featuring them are likely eligible.
