Bangladesh Bank has asked for the information of the candidates on the occasion of the sixth upazila parishad election.

Bangladesh Bank has asked for the information of the candidates on the occasion of the sixth upazila parishad election. The central bank has sought information from all returning officers to identify defaulters among candidates.

Additional Director of Credit Information Bureau of Bangladesh Bank recently gave a letter to the returning officers. Anichur Rahman. Earlier, the Election Commission had asked Bangladesh Bank to take necessary measures to provide information to defaulters.

The letter states that in order to provide information related to debt default of the candidates who filed nomination papers in the first phase of Upazila Parishad elections, the full name, father’s name, mother’s name, husband’s name (where applicable) in Bengali and English, National Identity Card Number, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), The information including date of birth, permanent and present address should be duly filled in as per the attached table and sent to the Bureau through e-mail after giving the name of the Returning Officer/Assistant Returning Officer along with seal, signature and phone (mobile) number.

According to the schedule for the first phase of upazila elections, the last date for filing nomination papers is April 15. Selection of nomination papers on April 17. Appeal against Returning Officer’s decision from 18 to 20 April. Appeal disposal 21 April, last date for withdrawal of candidature 22 April. Symbols will be allotted on April 23, and voting in 152 upazilas will be held on May 8.
