The second session of the 12th National Parliament will be held on May 2.

The second session of the 12th National Parliament will be held on May 2. Parliament meeting will start at 5 pm on that day. President Md. Sahabuddin convened this parliamentary session under the powers given in Article 72(1) of the Constitution.

This information was given in a letter signed by KM Abdus Salam, Senior Secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat on Monday (April 15).

It is said in the letter, the President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh by virtue of the power given in clause (1) of Article 72 of the Constitution of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Sahabuddin convened the second session of the 12th National Parliament at 5:00 PM on May 2 in the Parliament Chamber of Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan located in Sher Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

Earlier, the first session of the 12th Parliament began on January 30. Ends March 5. Two bills were passed in the 22-day session.

Awami League won 223 out of 300 seats in the 12th National Parliament election held on January 7. Opposition party Jatiya Party won 11 seats. Independent candidates won 62 seats.
