Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau congratulated Muslims on the occasion of Ramadan. He wished Muslims around the world a glorious and peaceful Ramadan.

This greeting was conveyed in a statement published on the website of the Prime Minister of Canada. In the statement, Justin Trudeau said, ‘The Muslim community around the world will begin the holy month of Ramadan. In the coming weeks, families and friends of Muslims will come together to pray and show kindness. At sunset they will gather for Iftar.

Wherever it is observed, Ramadan always brings forth an opportunity to show compassion, gratitude and honor family values.”He added, ‘Muslim Canadians have made and continue to make invaluable contributions to our country. Ramadan is an opportunity for all of us to recognize that.

About 1.8 million Muslims call Canada their home and our country is richer because of them. Justin Trudeau said, “This holy month comes at a particularly challenging time this year.” Because the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues. Canada has reiterated its call for a sustainable cease-fire and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

“As the Muslim community observes this month with generosity and compassion, it is our responsibility to stand against Islamophobia, racism and hate wherever it occurs,” he said.
