How artificial intelligence is changing healthcare

The tension between the doctor-patient relationship is discussed in all countries.

Almost everyone wants to see a ‘human’ doctor – one who listens attentively, shows compassion, sympathizes with the patient’s pain, while also carefully diagnosing and treating the disease.

People do not want to give this responsibility to machines. Only 13 percent of Americans think AI can play a role in improving the doctor-patient relationship.

Eric Topol, however, is optimistic. He believes that AI can save doctors a lot of time and effort by performing administrative or other clerical tasks related to medical care.

On the one hand, patients will be much more independent and capable— AI will do many of the things that doctors have to rely on.

During this time, doctors can diagnose complex diseases and provide better treatment.
