Arion Press of San Francisco

There’s a place in the Presidio of San Francisco where the clatter of century-old machinery can be heard.

Arion Press is San Francisco’s latest printing company, where a book is made entirely by hand from start to finish.

Arion Press creative director and lead printer Blake Riley and his team can only publish three books each year. About 300 copies of each book were published. Perfectly designed books take months to complete. Each of their books sells for up to $10,000.
