City of Toronto to welcome back Collision Conference in 2024

The Collision Technology Conference will return to Toronto in 2024, according to an announcement made by the City of Toronto on June 20, 2023.

In 2019, the City of Toronto first collaborated with Exhibition Place and Destination Toronto to bring Collision, North America’s fastest-growing technology conference, to Toronto. The conference was canceled in 2020 and held virtually in 2021 before returning in person in 2022 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the 2023 edition of Collision, the city will begin welcoming more than 40,000 innovators, technologists, and visitors from all over the world on Monday, June 26. The gathering will be Canada’s most huge innovation meeting to date and element in excess of 700 speakers, 2,000 new businesses, 1,250 writers, 950 financial backers and 100 unicorn organizations from 140 nations. At Collision, more than 120 trade delegations will meet with a global audience to discuss business opportunities.

Hosting Collision strengthens the innovation ecosystems in Toronto, Ontario, and Canada, highlights the extraordinary technology talent and businesses in the Toronto region, and promotes international trade and partnerships.

The individuals, startups, businesses, and concepts transforming the global technology industry are brought together in collision. Web Summit in Europe and Rio de Janeiro are two of the technology conferences that make up the Collision series.

35,000 people attended the Toronto Collision conference in 2022, which resulted in $43 million in direct spending and $68 million in economic impact. These figures include $1.7 million in municipal tax revenue, $5.7 million in tax revenue from the province, and $4.3 million in tax revenue from the federal government. The impact of holding this event in Toronto is anticipated to be even greater, as thousands more delegates are anticipated in both 2023 and 2024.

The tech industry in Toronto is the third-largest in North America and the largest in Canada. More than 500,000 people who work in sales, administration, business operations, finance, and marketing support the company’s ongoing expansion, which is supported by 300,000 skilled technology workers.
