Due to the deteriorating law and order situation, members of the Hindu community in Canada have become quite fearful. In particular, the Hindus of Canada’s Surrey region are going to organize public meetings organized by the ‘Vedic Hindu Cultural Society of British Columbia’ to deal with the situation.

The rally comes as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police warns of extortion from local businesses.

Earlier on December 27, there was also an incident of firing. The target of the attack was apparently the house of the society president’s son. Although Satish Kumar’s son was not injured in the incident, bullet holes were made in his house in Newton area.

Satish Kumar, president of Lakshmi Narayan Temple and a business owner, said the Hindu community is now very armed.

He told Global News, “Many people have expressed their fear to me over the phone and in letters.” I heard many people gave them money too.

Satish Kumar said his son’s family home was targeted by gunfire. However, he himself said that he did not receive any kind of extortion threat.

The Metro Vancouver owner said the incident shook him. As a result, he convened a meeting of the forum in Surrey.

He said, ‘My children are scared, my mother and father are also very armed. They want me to leave home.

He said, Surrey police have arrested some people but they are not getting relief.

India’s foreign ministry spokesman Randhir Jaisal said in response to a question at a press briefing in New Delhi that the issue of the Indian community in Canada is a matter of great “concern.”
