If ever you feel that you haven’t received what you deserve, then repent. You have been given the best. There are severe mistakes in human judgment, as has been proven time and again. The ultimate choice for welfare or misfortune has been granted to humans. What may seem great to me, may evoke regret or cause sorrow due to the outcome of fate, but believe me, where I am, how I am, and with whom I am, is undoubtedly the highest and best. You may disagree with my statement, but you cannot alter the plan of the grand designer. Humans can think about where, in what, and for whom lies goodness, but they do not know the reality and future consequences.
Jealousy may arise from seeing someone’s happiness, regret from witnessing their contentment, or sorrow from seeing someone’s wealth. But you cannot measure the inside by looking at the outside. If you could read someone’s heart by looking at their smile, there would never be an end to gratitude for your own situation. One can stay happy without food and content without possession. What will complaining about life bring? What will pointing out someone else’s mistakes achieve? Those who have both sacrificed and enjoyed understand the glory of sacrifice. There is no merit in merely wanting to receive. How much can one eat in one life? The satisfaction of the eyes, noble thoughts of the heart, and a mindset of giving are what elevate people, whose beauty can be observed like the moon.
Regret diminishes blessings, while expressing gratitude increases blessings. Those who only focus on what is missing will eventually find nothing but lament. From a simple and humble life on earth, a person can enter paradise directly. Yet, in their endless complaints, people ruin their own fortune. People focus only on the present, wanting to be happy now, desiring all the wealth and happiness at once, which is why their pain is more. But had they waited, good days would have come. However, our actions, complaints, and anxieties prevent the dark days from passing. One who has not purified their soul, adorned themselves with the beauty of dreams, or hoped for reality will find it difficult to avoid sorrow. Happiness and sorrow grow through actions and words.
I have not come at the wrong time, to the wrong place, or to the wrong people. I have come to take a test. But when I forget that and start thinking of myself as the examiner, the difficult times rush in. People’s character has everything, except patience. The obsession with “now” makes the mind unhealthy. The character that insists on commenting immediately or never allows any leeway leads people astray. Going crazy to react or not having any forgiveness ruins one’s future. People who waste their days feeling upset for not getting a rose never think that a whole bouquet might have been prepared for them. By cursing fate and blaming the Creator, people often do things they regret, but by then, there may be no chance for repentance.
People wait for many things that are unrealistic and beyond their capability. Miracles do happen in our surroundings, but waiting in the hope that an exception will occur in my life amidst millions of stories will only lead to sorrow in the evening. Comparing yourself to others, feeling sorrow from someone’s wealth or power, drives happiness away. One cannot measure their happiness or sorrow by comparing with others. There is no correct scale to measure happiness and sorrow this way. To be happy, one must learn to be content with little. Even having more but being arrogant will spoil everything. Only the Creator knows better than humans what is in store for each person. Humans will try, desire, and place their trust in God. Whatever is for their good, He will provide for them, and full belief in this is called faith.
