Where can you find a country with such a non-communal spirit where the musical instruments of worship stop during the call to prayer and the muezzin postpones the call to prayer during the call to prayer? Show the second country on the world map where worship is performed with the money donated by Muslims and waz-mahfils are organized with the money donated by Hindus. In a mess where Hindus and Muslims live together, has there ever been a fight over whether cows will be on the menu? Rather, in a kitchen where people of both Hindus and Muslims sit and eat together, there has been no fight over which cow or pig should be kept special and which should definitely be excluded. Whoever likes it will eat it, and whoever dislikes it will stay away. There is no sick culture of forcing or snatching anyone away from this country.
In the town where I grew up, Hindus and Muslims live as brothers. Hindus come first in the face of Muslim calamities and troubles, and Muslim men and women are the chief guests at Hindu festivals. My village is a reflection of the religious harmony of the entire Bangladesh. There has never been a riot in this country about whose religion is greater, the superiority of mosques and temples. Even if we do not call Allah on the microphone, God hears us, so our humanity and sense of humanity have never been tarnished. In the house of a scholar, a festival is held with betel nuts bought from a Hindu farmer, and when a Hindu son has a stomachache, the village cleric blows it. The story of Hindus and Muslims growing up and dying by shopping at the same market, playing in the same field, or bathing in the same river has never caused a riot. There has never been a fight over a cemetery or a leopard. Muslims have cried remembering the death of a Hindu, and Hindus have consoled a Muslim when he is sick – I have never seen any fighting.
I am a direct document of the thirty years of Hindu-Muslim relations in my area. I know the documentary history of 500 years of books. Yet they fought over religion – I have never seen, heard from anyone or read anywhere about such a division. In the afternoon, the priest of the temple searches for the body of the imam of the mosque in the tea shop, and the Muslim of the mosque arbitrates in a meeting with the priest of the temple. Who is conspiring against the society that has never fought? Who is trying to create riots between Hindus and Muslims? It is important for Hindus and Muslims to unite to stop the instigators. This Bangladesh has the most admired communal harmony on the world map. So that no one can put any stain here. No one can apply any stigma – be careful, be careful. Once a blood stain is applied, it cannot be erased. The wound does not heal.
Governments will come and go in turn, but the Hindu-Muslim relationship in Bangladesh will never be damaged. Those who want to divide Hindus and Muslims by organizing religious conflicts for political gain, undoubtedly have bad intentions. I request both sides to think for two minutes in silence and with conscience about the intentions of the neighboring or neighboring countries that are destroying the communal harmony of our country and fueling unrest in the country, and the media that is inciting us morning and evening. It is important to identify whether those who want to disturb the situation in the country by creating religious fanaticism are our friends or enemies disguised as friends. If brothers fight, the mother (country) does not win.
To protect the sovereignty of Bangladesh, there must be unity regardless of Hindus or Muslims. If an attack is made on this country, the country’s map, national anthem or national flag, it is an attack on the existence of everyone equally, regardless of religion or caste. The rights of Muslims over this country are as much as the rights of Hindus and followers of other religions. There should be no compromise on the issue of patriotism. At the end of the day, Muslims will be invited to Hindu houses and Hindus will be invited to Muslim houses and share happiness and sorrow. No evil force should be able to divide us on the issue of our national unity. No matter how much they conspire, we should not fall into any trap. The conspirators should be defeated and expelled by testing our patience and tolerance.
There are some villains within this country, both Hindus and Muslims, among both communities. Their aim is to destroy the peace and order of the country. They will spread extremism and incite. Social unity and awareness should be ensured so that educated and civilized people are not infected by them. Everyone should work together to prevent all rumors that increase religious fanaticism. The nation must suppress the terrorists with a strong hand and send a strong message to those states that are trying to create chaos. If a Hindu temple is damaged, it is meaningless for a Muslim mosque to remain intact! Again, if a Muslim’s freedom is destroyed, the humanity of a Hindu will not be considered. In the Bangladesh state, Hindus and Muslims must complement each other and ensure the security of everyone. The idea of minority-number guru is a trend of capitalism and a trap to turn people into slaves. Everyone has equal rights and opportunities in this country. So that this religious harmony of Bangladesh becomes an example in the history of the world – we must introduce ourselves as a patient nation. We must speak with wisdom and take conscious and courageous steps to deal with any crisis. Let none of us forget or think of doing anything that damages the tiki-paita of a Hindu and the honor of the beard and cap of a Muslim. May Bangladesh – with self-respect, be manifested on the world map in civilization and harmony – our prayer
