IN THIS WEEK’S ISSUE

Why Israel needs a ‘fake victory’ now

Arshad Khan

The real purpose of announcing the end of Hamas forces is to withdraw most of Israel’s troops from Gaza and deploy them on the northern border.

Mandatory to bring a smile to the face. And he will be presented as a fake victory smile. Actually the issue is withdrawal from Gaza.

Israel is going to announce within days that the military wing of Hamas has been ousted from Gaza. And so Israel won the war. Win? If you think so, then so be it. I would say that withdrawing from Gaza is the real issue.

The real purpose of announcing the end of Hamas forces is to withdraw most of Israel’s troops from Gaza and deploy them on the northern border. And that’s to raid Lebanon for another glorious victory like Gaza. But this victory will be much more terrible than before. And so we can expect Israel to make announcements that fill the hearts of its government, military, journalists and citizens. So let’s not forget that the withdrawal from Gaza is the real issue.

Each day passes and we sink deeper there. Say you destroyed the entire Hamas army in Rafah. And that kept us a hair away from complete victory. Whatever happened inside and outside of Israel, the victory must be declared in secret. Because the main thing is to leave Gaza.

I can say with certainty that no victory has been won in Gaza so far, nor will there be in the future. But Israel needs an excuse to climb down the blood-soaked tree. Because climbing this tree should not have happened. That is why a fake victory has to be created now.

Hamas has survived a heavy blow militarily. Greater than that, has won in every other field. On the other hand, diplomatically, socially, morally, and economically, Israel has been sufficiently, if not completely, rehabilitated. Yet the country’s media continues to sing praises, which are nothing but shams. They keep telling you about the ‘great things’ the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have done in the Gaza Strip.

Israel has fallen immeasurably worse by the end of the war than it was when it started its most unnecessary war. Not that there was no justification for this war, but wars are judged by their results. And the outcome was predictable: a senseless entrapment, causing Palestinians to bleed like water; Bleeding many Israeli soldiers, turning Israel into an impenetrable state, and all for nothing.
