Life: You Reap What You Sow

Abdur Rahman Khan

Hard days and good days run parallel. Hardship is the price of effort; blessings come through the same path.

If I wrong someone, I will undoubtedly be wronged in return. And if someone wrongs me, they too will surely face their reckoning. No one escapes the immutable law of fate. That’s why it’s neither wise nor necessary to be overly optimistic nor to drown in needless despair—especially when our actions speak louder than our expectations. Ultimately, it’s our present choices that shape our future.

If you’re deceiving others, be ready to be deceived too. Even if the world doesn’t see your betrayal, you will feel it deep inside. No one ever wins by cheating. Those who deceive might appear content on the outside, but inside, they’re quietly burning. Can anyone really live in peace carrying the curses and silent sighs of others? Not a chance. If you hurt others, you’ll have to pay the price. And if you’ve been hurt, you will be compensated in due time. Nothing escapes the cycle. What you send out always comes back.

Hard days and good days run parallel. Hardship is the price of effort; blessings come through the same path. Crossing boundaries never ends well. If you make someone cry, be ready for tears in your own life. But if you make someone smile, joy will find its way back to you too. People experience exactly what they put out into the world. Hurt others, and you will be hurt. Keep your promises, and others will do the same. More important than making a promise is remembering it. As you move forward in life, don’t forget to glance back—your past holds valuable lessons. Don’t burden your life with unrealistic expectations.

People don’t receive what they aren’t meant for. Life is always a test. If someone is ungrateful in joy or curses fate in hardship, it’s all being written down somewhere. So practice patience—in everything, and everywhere. If someone crosses a line, gently pull them back. If a person is selfish, they’ll attract selfishness from others too. Some friends might look loyal on the outside but wear masks of betrayal. But if you open your heart to someone, love will return. Turn your back on someone, and you’ll be met with neglect and disregard.

In life’s grand story, it’s often better to be the one deceived than the one doing the deceiving. Those who are wronged by people are uplifted by the Creator. If someone causes pain, divine mercy steps in to heal. That’s why we should always think before we speak. Among all our faculties, the tongue, the heart, and the mind must be used with the most care. Keep a smile on your face and approach others with kindness. In this world, love is the most valuable thing of all.
