Imran Khan’s lawyer Sheraj Ahmed Ranja said that Adiala Jail Chief is not obeying the orders of the court.

A special court of Pakistan asked the superintendent of Adiala jail to arrange a mobile phone to talk to former prime minister Imran Khan about his sons.

Imran Khan’s sons Sulaiman Khan and Qasim Khan live in the UK with his ex-wife Jemima. They got separated in 2004. Last week, special court judge Abual Hasnat Zulkarnain allowed PTI leader Imran Khan to talk to his sons on mobile. The order says that he can talk to his children every Saturday if he wants to.

In the petition, Imran Khan’s lawyer Sheraj Ahmed said, however, Adalia Jail did not obey the Supreme Court’s order.

The petition said that the Jail Superintendent is knowingly and willfully disobeying the court order. A contempt of court case should be filed against the prison officer. Because, he was specifically asked by the court to immediately create an opportunity for Imran to talk to his children.

The court issued notice to the Superintendent of Adalia Jail and asked him to respond to it at the earliest. The hearing has been adjourned till November 8.

After his arrest on August 5, Imran Khan was initially held in Pakistan’s notorious Attock Jail. Later, he was transferred to Adiala Jail on September 26. He was then convicted in the Toshakhana case. Later he was arrested in the cipher case.
