Legendary actress Kabri Sarwar aka Sarah Begum Kabri was known as the ‘sweet girl’ of Dhakai cinema. She was one of the most popular actresses in the sixties and seventies of the last century.

Her sweet acting and sweet smile charmed everyone.
If he were alive today, he would have stepped into the 73rd spring of life. Kabori was born on July 19, 1950 in Boalkhali, Chittagong. He died on April 17, 2021 due to corona virus.

Kabri’s birth name was Meena Pal. His father was Srikrishna Das Pal and mother was Srimati Lavanyaprabha Pal. Though born in Boalkhali, childhood and adolescence grew up in Chittagong city. He appeared on stage as a dancer in 1963 at the age of 13.

Kabri started her acting career in 1964 at the age of 14 as the heroine of Subhash Dutt’s ‘Sutrang’ movie. After that he acted in the movies ‘Hiraman’, ‘Mainamati’, ‘Chorabali’, ‘Paruler Sansar’, ‘Binimoy’, ‘Agantuk’.

Kabri acted in Urdu movie ‘Bahana’ produced by Zaheer Raihan. The talented actress also got the chance to act in the famous Indian filmmaker Ritvik Ghatak’s epic film ‘Titas Ek Nidi Naam’.

Kabri had an illustrious political career. He was elected Member of Parliament from Bangladesh Awami League in 2008. Was associated with numerous women’s rights and social service organizations.
