Global Covid-19: infected over 4 lakh

At least 449,430 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus or Covid-19 worldwide in the last 24 hours while 1,149 people succumbed to the disease from the pandemic during the period.

Earlier on Wednesday, 472,634 Covid-19 patients were detected while 1,200 deaths related to the disease were reported worldwide.

As of Thursday morning (30-09-2022), a total of 622,370,893 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 worldwide as the death toll rises to 6,547,074 while 602,177,408 patients have recovered, according to Worldometers data.

The Worldometer data shows that the United States has topped the daily deaths by Covid-19. In the last 24 hours, the country has seen 226 deaths and 31,516 virus cases, logging a total of 1,084,282 COVID deaths and 98,166,904 infections since the onset of the pandemic.

Germany has seen the second-highest deaths by Covid-19 with 140 deaths while 96,367 new virus cases were reported in a span of 24 hours. So far, the country has reported 149,948 deaths and 33,312,373 COVID cases.

Japan has seen daily COVID cases in the last 24 hours, logging 42,173 virus cases with 127 deaths. The country has so far seen 21,229,216 Covid-19 cases and 44,678 deaths.

France, in the last 24 hours, has reported 51,366 COVID cases, bringing the virus caseload to 35,342,950 while 33 deaths were reported during the period, increasing the death toll to 155,078 in the country.

South Korea has reported 46 COVID-19 deaths and 30,846 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, soaring the death toll to 28,364 and the overall caseload to 24,740,635 in the country due to the COVID pandemic.

The coronavirus, which was first reported in China in 2019, affects 228 countries and territories worldwide.
