Bangladesh-Canada working to increase cooperation in business sector: Speaker

Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said Canada and Bangladesh have friendly relations. Bangladesh and Canada are working to increase cooperation in various sectors including trade.

He said this in a courtesy meeting with Khalil Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh appointed to Canada at his office on Monday (February 12).

In the meeting, they discussed various issues including bilateral friendly relations, business and trade, parliamentary alliance group.

The speaker said that the governments of the two countries are working to increase cooperation in various sectors including trade. Apart from this, the friendly relations between Canada and Bangladesh can be enhanced through the mutual exchange of visits of the Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Khalil Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh appointed to Canada, said that the export of products from Bangladesh to Canada has increased more than before.

At this time, he informed the speaker about bringing back to Bangladesh the self-confessed murderer of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Noor Chowdhury.

At that time, the concerned senior officials of the National Parliament Secretariat were present.
