The Alberta government is seeking public input to help it improve the province’s public health-care system. The government has launched an online survey called “Shape The Way” that asks residents to share their thoughts on the current state of health care in Alberta and their suggestions for improvement. The survey also asks respondents to rate the quality of care they have received and to identify the most important issue facing provincial health care.

In addition to the online survey, the government has held five town halls to gather feedback from health-care professionals. More than 8,000 doctors, nurses, and other health-care workers attended the town halls.

The government says that the feedback it receives from the survey and the town halls will be used to develop a plan to improve health care in Alberta. The plan is expected to focus on mental health and addiction services.
