Frito Lay Canada is recalling all sizes of SunChips Multigrains Harvest Cheddar Snacks and Original Munchies Snack Mix due to potential salmonella contamination. While no salmonella was found in the seasoning used by Frito Lay Canada, the company is taking this step out of an abundance of caution. Customers are advised to discard any affected products and can check the UPC code against the recall list to see if they have a recalled bag.

No illnesses have been reported so far, and the company is collaborating with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to ensure the recalled products are removed from stores.

Salmonella poisoning can cause a variety of symptoms, including chills, diarrhea, fever, nausea, stomach cramps, headache, and vomiting. Most cases resolve within a week without medical treatment, but severe cases may require medication or intravenous fluids. People infected with salmonella can also spread the illness to others even if they show no symptoms.
