Tourists can go to the beach even late at night. Because of the tourist police, they are assured, there is no problem at the beach. Anytime you go to the beach you see the tourist police. For the development of tourism and the overall safety of tourists, the Tourist Police has installed CCTV cameras across the beach, which are being monitored directly from the Tourist Police head office. Tourist police can be seen on the beach – many tourists feel safe there. Several questions are troubling us, from which it is necessary to get rid of them.
Proper planning is essential for the development of tourism. A visionary master plan is needed for the development of tourism. The development of tourism requires concerted action by the Ministry, Tourism Corporation, Tourist Police, Tourism Board. Food, health, clothing, space, digital city, adequate security, traffic, transportation facilities – all these things are essential in a tourist destination. Quality is also involved in these matters. Tourist spots are increasing all over the country. Our approach needs to be tourism-centric. The hotelier should keep track of who is doing the spa business. Allegedly, the spa business is going on in the tunnel room-pit which is locked from outside. Some tourists also complain of harassment and should be careful about this. It needs to be investigated whether someone is doing illegal activities with the spa signboard. These problems of juvenile gangs and eve teasing must be stopped forever. There are complaints that in some places the robbery happened early in the morning. It must be remembered that the tourism industry will not develop if tourists are harassed.
A tourist trader said, ‘When I think of myself as a tourist, I can understand the problems of others. Whether I will be able to return with family safety or money to the area I will go to. The whole country looks towards the beach. The criminal is being punished since the arrival of the tourist police. This is a good example. For 22 years, my family runs on tourist money. You have to stand up for yourself. Then the desired development of the tourism industry will be possible. Everyone should have this feeling. More than 100 kilometers of beaches are used while only 10-20 kilometers are used. Sub/walkway should be done by proper planning. Dry pulley should be removed. TomTom pulls on tourists. Try to take them to a hotel of their choice. Because they get commission. Air and train tickets – big problem. It must be ensured that air ticket prices are not suddenly increased by manipulation. There may be grand plans with Marine Drive. Like St. Martin, Sonadia Island needs to be taken seriously. It is the demand of time to develop Sonadia Island as a tourist spot as per the plan.
Cox’s Bazar beach needs to be de-cluttered. If the tourist pressure increases, why does the hotel rent increase? Foreign tourists should be considered. Necessary initiatives should be taken to increase the interest of foreign tourists. Improved communication system will affect tourism. The local community must have the mentality to welcome tourists. Some hoteliers hire brokers, which is hindering the development of sustainable tourism. The sidewalk is occupied. Pavements should be cleared. The overall environment of an area also affects tourism.
Security is also an important issue in tourism related areas. Despite some limitations, there are many good examples in Cox’s Bazar. There is a planned traffic system in the beach area. A more integrated plan should be adopted in public-private initiatives. The service coverage of CC cameras should be increased. It is necessary to evict the illegal hawkers roaming on both sides of the road. There can be laser shows in the ocean. Investment assurance is required. It is also known about the presence of garbage everywhere on the beach. Iconic railway station opened in Cox’s Bazar. There will be a bridge, tourism will expand. The international airport has been opened. Foreign tourists will come. We also need to develop a mindset of service.

Picnic buses, educational tour buses arrive. Reserve bus arrives. Tourists will not come if buses are not allowed to enter. Where will the buses be parked? Cox’s Bazar has 11 thousand TomTom, 200 Dolphin cars. They harass tourists by charging arbitrary fare. Drivers and transport workers should be used as in Nepal. Along with training drivers and transport workers, awareness activities should be continued among them. There is a kind of anarchy when it comes to renting cars, motorcycles, horses, speedboats on the beach. Why is this happening? Allegedly, as the number of tourists increases, the quality of food decreases and the prices increase. It is alleged that there is a food crisis when there are lakhs of tourists in Cox’s Bazar. Locals can prepare their own traditional food during the tourist season. In Montenegro, the locals prepare the food. There are also complaints that sometimes when the number of tourists increases, some shops allow tourists to eat rotten and stale food. Even if you can’t eat, the price is taken. It is important to solve these problems.
See to it that no one can take marine coral from St. Martin and Inani. There is surveillance in Saint Martin but not in Inani. Beaches are often littered with dead dolphins, fish, and other animals that require quick removal. In the last 10-25 years, the local biodiversity, culture and environment along the coast of Cox’s Bazar have been destroyed. Jaubon has been cut. Various types of lights are burning in the coastal areas, which are disrupting the normal life of marine life. It is important to ensure that there are no structures within a certain boundary of the coastal zone. It is important not to sanction new ones and demolish existing structures as well. We are inadvertently destroying local biodiversity, culture and environment while creating the attraction of beach views from hotel-motel and resort rooms, balconies; Which no one thinks. Strict action should be taken to ensure that no new structures are built in the beach area of Marine Drive. There is a need for strict vigilance on various matters such as that there is no excessive lighting in the coastal areas at night and no bright lights are lit after 7-8 pm.
