The traditional Chittagong feast “Mezban” was held in Toronto, Canada, in an atmosphere of great enthusiasm and festivity. Organized by the Chittagong Association Canada Inc., an organization of Chittagong residents living in the country, thousands of Bangladeshis participated in the event. This created an unprecedented atmosphere there.
The inaugural ceremony of this grand feast, held from noon to afternoon at the Sunnatul Jamaat of Ontario Mosque in Toronto, was conducted by the organization’s president, Manjur Chowdhury. Under the able guidance of the organization’s general secretary, Sajjad Hossain, politicians, journalists, business representatives, and other distinguished members of society delivered speeches. They profusely praised the leaders of Chittagong Society Canada Inc. for organizing such an exceptional event.
On behalf of the organizers, President Manjur Chowdhury and General Secretary Sajjad Hossain extended their gratitude to the guests for their presence. They stated that the Chattogram Association of Canada will always strive to uphold the heritage of Bangladesh and Chattogram among the diaspora.
