Canada’s Wonderland has officially announced its opening date for the 2026 season and is preparing for a large-scale recruitment push ahead of the busy months to come.

Canada’s Wonderland, the country’s most visited amusement park, will welcome guests back starting May 3, 2026. Located in Vaughan, Ontario, the park is also looking to hire around 4,000 seasonal employees to support operations throughout the season.

To fill these roles, the park will host a week-long hiring event, during which applicants can be considered for a wide range of positions. Available jobs include ride operators, lifeguards, security staff, sales associates, park services attendants, and food and beverage workers.

According to the park, hourly wages will begin at $16.60 for students under the age of 18, while those 18 and older will earn starting wages of $17.60 per hour.

Human Resources Director Taneshia Khan said the recruitment effort reflects the park’s enthusiasm for the upcoming season, even as winter continues. She noted that while the weather may still be cold, preparations for another high-energy season are already well underway, highlighting that employees can expect both enjoyable work experiences and additional perks.

Spanning 300 acres, the park features more than 200 attractions, including 18 roller coasters and a 20-acre water park, making it one of the largest and most diverse amusement destinations in the country.

With its opening date set and hiring plans in motion, Canada’s Wonderland is signaling that the countdown to summer fun has officially begun.
