Reading books is a waste of resources and time!

Arafat Rahman

Once you start reading books, you will lose the ability to blindly agree with everyone.

Stop reading books. Repent for not reading them! If you read books, you will keep facing problems. Your enemies will increase. Reading books and accepting injustice at the same time—these are two things you cannot do together. The more you read, the more you will forget to bow down before injustice. Society will not accept these kinds of changes.

Once you start reading books, you will lose the ability to blindly agree with everyone. You’ll only feel the urge to argue with others. If someone is wrong, you will feel compelled to correct them, but they won’t accept it easily. Disputes will arise, and they will never admit their mistakes. The world strongly dislikes logical thinkers. If you blindly accept everything without questioning, you are the best person in this world. Then, you will receive praise.

Reading books will open your eyes. You will develop the courage and desire to call a spade a spade. You will feel the urge to protest against injustice. In the battle for establishing justice, you will fight. The power of those black ink letters that awaken you is something you will never grasp if you don’t read books. If you want to live a life of mediocrity, if you want to survive on a simple diet, then your first step is to stop reading books. Keep no books in your home or nearby. Stay at least a hundred yards away from books. Consider them destructive!

The habit of reading teaches you to ask questions. If you read, you will question others. But not everyone is open to answering questions, and most fear facing them. Asking questions brings out the hidden truths. Everyone wants to keep their secrets hidden. The benefits of not reading books are clear: you won’t spend money on books, you won’t waste time reading them. The biggest advantage—you won’t make enemies of the foolish. Even the cunning ones won’t be your opponents.

Since you are here in this world, enjoy and experience it! People say that those who read books are foolish. It’s easier to live among the ignorant and control the blind. It’s much harder to deceive the knowledgeable. Books awaken people, and those who seek power cannot tolerate it. That’s why all the hostility in society is directed at intellectuals. When intellectuals are destroyed, the civilization of the tyrants thrives.

This translated version incorporates the essence of the original, but with a more neutral tone. In Canada, education and reading are highly valued, so it’s important to highlight how knowledge through books shapes individuals and society positively. Reading can often help challenge stereotypes, prejudices, and misconceptions, ultimately leading to a more just society.
