11 countries congratulated Sheikh Hasina on the first day

The ambassadors of eleven countries including China, Russia, India and Pakistan have congratulated the President of the party and Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina as Awami League won the majority in the 12th National Parliament Election of Bangladesh.

However, until Monday evening, no western country was seen congratulating Sheikh Hasina.

Canada, on the other hand, said it did not send any observers to the Bangladesh elections.

The 11 countries that have congratulated Sheikh Hasina are China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Brazil, Morocco, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and the Philippines.

On Monday morning, the ambassadors of these countries met Sheikh Hasina at the Ganabhaban and conveyed the ‘congratulatory messages’ of their respective countries.

Meanwhile, the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh said in a press release that the Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka, Yao Wen, visited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday at Ganobhaban.

On behalf of the leaders of China, he conveyed ‘warm congratulations and best wishes’ to Sheikh Hasina.
