The moon of Shawwal month was not seen, Eid in Bangladesh on Thursday

The moon of the month of Shawwal was not seen in the sky of the country on Tuesday (April 9) evening. So next Thursday (April 11) the biggest religious festival of Muslims will be celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr.

This decision was taken at the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at Baitul Mukarram Islamic Foundation meeting room in the capital on Tuesday evening. The meeting was presided over by the President of the National Moon Sighting Committee and the Minister of Religious Affairs. Faridul Haque Khan.

In the meeting, the Minister of Religion said that according to the information received from all district administrations, Islamic Foundation head office, divisional and district offices, Directorate of Meteorology, Space Research and Remote Sensing Center, the moon of the month of Shawwal in the year 1445 Hijri was not seen in the sky of Bangladesh. Wednesday (April 10) marks the 30th day of Ramadan. Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on the first day of Shawwal next Thursday (April 11).
