Sabr does not merely mean waiting for good times; it means facing hardships head-on. People will talk, laugh, or try to hurt you—listen, observe, but do not respond. Enduring loneliness, protecting yourself in times of distress—that is sabr. Learning to hide your tears and rise after every fall—that is sabr. Refraining from hurting others with words, enduring pain without complaint—that too is sabr.
Not retaliating with words, responding to vengeance with success, proving wrong those who doubted you—that silent struggle, breaking and rebuilding yourself—that is sabr. The sacrifices you make, the sleepless nights you endure, the sweat you shed to change the perception of those who laughed at you, mocked you, or ignored you—that is also sabr.
Life flows like the wind, sometimes shrouded in darkness, sometimes bathed in moonlight. Fighting through the trials of bad days and remaining humble in good times—these are valuable lessons of sabr. Forgiving those who curse you, harm you, or abandon you in your struggles—that is true sabr. Not giving up in tough times, not taking away someone else’s rights unjustly, and not overindulging—that is sabr. Nothing in this world is permanent, no one is eternal—except Him. He is always with those who are patient and protects them.
Without patience in adversity, the path to success remains elusive. To achieve something, you must embrace solitude. To master a craft, you must endure hardship. Like a sailor lost at sea, you must weather storms, light a beacon of hope, and keep rowing. If you give up, you sink into the abyss. Sabr brings divine mercy. You don’t always have to react instantly or respond harshly—wait a little, and the answer will change. Relationships will endure, and friendships will last a lifetime.
The rewards of sabr are sweet. If injustice has been done to you but you do not seek revenge, someone else will speak on your behalf. Speak as little as possible in life—there is wisdom in silence. Make sabr a seal on your tongue, build walls of patience around your emotions. The more you practice patience in darkness, the more your reputation will shine in the light. May the setting sun of your journey fill the rivers and fields of your life with golden radiance. Be patient, and you will succeed.
