The Supreme Court of Pakistan has upheld the death sentence of former President General Pervez Musharraf. A four-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa passed the order on Wednesday.
Earlier, he was sentenced to death by the country’s lower court for declaring emergency in 2007 without regard to the constitution.
Incidentally, General Musharraf died on February 5, 2023 while undergoing treatment at the American Hospital in Dubai after suffering from amyloidosis, a rare disease.
