Pakistan has reduced the price of Petrol and diesel

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Finance of Pakistan on Monday, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 8 per litre, kerosene by Rs 1.97 per liter and light diesel oil by Rs 92 per litre. The Ministry of Finance said that this price will be effective across the country from today Tuesday till the next 15 days.

As of Monday, petrol was sold at Rs 267.34 per litre, high speed diesel (HSD) at Rs 276.21 per litre, kerosene at Rs 188.83 per liter and light diesel at Rs 165.75 per litre.

After the Finance Ministry’s order came into effect, petrol is now being sold at 259.34 rupees per liter, kerosene at 186.86 rupees per liter and light diesel at 164.75 rupees per liter.

As the price of high speed diesel is not reduced, this fuel is being sold at the previous price.

Earlier on Sunday, rumors were rife in Pakistan that the price of petrol would soon increase by at least Rs 5 per litre. Amidst these rumours, the current caretaker government in the country decided the new price of fuel oil.
