10 Paramedics to Receive Inaugural Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery

The first-ever Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery will be presented to paramedics from all over the province by the government of Ontario. The medal is given to paramedics who have shown great bravery by putting their own lives in danger to save others’.

In a ceremony this evening at Queen’s Park, the Honorable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, and Sylvia Jones, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, will award medals to ten paramedics. Ontario’s paramedics will receive a medal for their efforts for the first time this year.

“As Lieutenant Lead representative, I have seen direct the amazing magnanimity and grit of people on call,” said the Noteworthy Elizabeth Dowdeswell. ” Although it is commonly stated that our time is uncertain, few Ontarians actually experience uncertainty in their daily work lives in the same way that paramedics do. I would like to express my gratitude to the province of this year’s exceptional award recipients for their dedication, bravery, and devoted service.
