A new political party should not follow the old style of politics, and the old political parties should embrace a fresh approach—only then can Bangladesh transform into the golden dreamland it aspires to be. If the new ones walk the path of the old and the old ones remain stuck in their past, eventually, both will fade away. History repeats itself, and it has its own way of taking spontaneous revenge.
Let the students’ voices, the people’s demands, and collective opinions put an end to inequality. If the hunger for power turns into greed, no one will be forgiven. The old leaders must break free from their imperialist mindsets, and the new generation must think with foresight—only then will the country change. Many of the existing systems need urgent reform, as opportunities for change don’t come often. The past holds many mistakes, some of which were even crimes.
Who takes power alone cannot determine the fate of a nation! The true measure lies in how much love political parties have for their country, whom they stand by when in power, and how they negotiate with the people. These factors will decide whether they remain in the country or are forced to flee. If the new leaders are easily swayed by the wealth and influence of the old, it won’t take long to derail progress. Prison sentences and public outrage do not forgive anyone! One may be granted release, but true freedom is never given without consequences.
How far will the new generation go? How will the old guard welcome their rise? And where does the country and its people stand in their journey? These questions will shape the people’s verdict. But without the fusion of youthful energy and the wisdom of experience, the ship of equality will not sail smoothly. It takes the right balance of oars, currents, and skilled sailors to keep the boat afloat. If any of these fail, the ship will sink. May the nation not be lost at sea! We must brave the storms and move forward, and for that, we need capable navigators.
We want to see experienced politicians, but not outdated politics. We want the charisma of the youth, but not their recklessness. Let no one be forcefully removed, nor let anyone be obsessed with removing others—such situations should not arise anymore. Let there be harmony, and let there be flexibility. Let debates be won with words, and ideological battles be fought with intellect. But never should disagreements escalate into violence.
A new Bangladesh stands before its people—a chance not to be wasted on empty rhetoric, meaningless actions, or factional conflicts that spill blood. We have a long way to go.
Wishing success to both the new and the old. The dawn of 2025 is expected to bring a new era for the nation—everyone is watching with hope!
