Mental peace versus wealth!

Trying to evaluate everything in life with money brings sadness again and again. Can mental peace, a happy heart, or a meaningful poem be judged by money? Who can be more enjoyable than the peace that a plate of expensive food gives? A writer who has written a touching story, who has been able to say that a person’s heart is worth his spiritual peace? Not everything in life can be measured with money. Money, wealth, or even money are insignificant compared to some happiness. The owner of huge wealth but is unhappy, the one who has nothing but is happy – whom would you put ahead? What we consider happiness can be understood by looking at the shell. Again, the depth of happiness of someone who seems sad and unhappy cannot be guessed. Who is happy with what is his own matter.

We comment on someone’s work as soon as we see it. How much do you get for singing, how much do you get for painting, how much do you get for writing – these questions are very embarrassing. There are truths greater than money in this world. The consumerists are reluctant to accept the happiness that can be found even in a half-baked diet. For the group that believes in the philosophy of ‘Rinnam Kritva Ghritam Pibet, Jabat Jibet Sukhang Jibet’, money is everything. Those who cannot think of anything other than money, those whose mind values everything only in money, in the end, cannot reconcile the sum of money. They die while having a lot of money idle in the bank. They cannot fulfill even a single hobby properly by running after money. They cannot go out, cannot eat properly. They are deprived of a peaceful sleep due to the thought of becoming a money machine. It takes a long time for those whose only dream is money to realize that their life will eventually become empty. Then the path to happiness is far from life.

Happiness does not require excessive busyness but unbroken leisure. We can enjoy life by accumulating only the necessary resources for livelihood. But instead of doing that, we think most about the future. But there is nothing more uncertain than the future. I build mountains of wealth to protect my family and children, but I don’t feel the need to chat with them openly, I don’t want to take out time to go somewhere, or I don’t have the time to sit together and talk while eating at the table. What is the result of this busyness? I travel around the kingdom for food for my body, but I don’t even think about the fact that food for my mind is more important. I also have some of my own stories, which are full of good and bad feelings from childhood, and I neglect them. I indulge in consumerism the most, depriving my heart.

The value of some things is also remembered. Objects have both intrinsic and extrinsic value. The appeal of a rose that I buy from the market for 5/10 taka is immense to the heart. The spiritual connection that is created in a floral gift, the emotions that are stirred, cannot be bought with money. It is foolish to try to judge a poem that makes the reader cry/laugh, and float on a raft of happiness by its monetary value. Is it possible to buy the tension of the heart that finds a place in someone’s heart with its heart? The sound of a creative melody, a chat story or a couple of poems can fill the heart with emotion. The ink of a pen can make the heart laugh, and people are won over by the sound of a melody. The love and faith that are met without any pain are actually incomparable with anything. Yet people see the wealthy differently. They do not see the happy in the same way. Yet the most adorable thing in life is to enter the courtyard of happiness. Live strong in self-happiness.

Those who measure everything by money value and exchange should be consciously avoided. If you get involved in their activities, life will become hell. There is no room for denying the value of money, but when greed for money leads life towards meaninglessness, then decay is inevitable. If everything was measured by money, Rumi’s Masnavi, Rabindranath’s Gitanjali, or Nazrul’s Bedhori would not have been created. Plato’s Republic, Vinci’s Mona Lisa would not have come before the people of the world. Then people would have accumulated wealth and lived in caves! Some people have to go against the flow for their entire lives and leave food for thought for the people of the world. Although creativity seems like a joyful work, the creator of something great has to separate himself from the greed and infatuation of the world and only then do impeccable works. One has to endure many sorrows and hardships in life. Then comes fame. The fame that many people do not get to see in their lifetime.

If everything is done for money, the world would be a garbage dump. There would be nothing else called the mind. The happiness of the body is gross, which can be achieved with money. But the happiness of the mind is divine, which requires penance and sacrifice. Those who are only attracted by the infatuation of wealth find gross happiness. The grossness of happiness is a major cause of sorrow at a time. Because there is a certain limit to the tolerance of physical happiness by humans. When it is exaggerated, sorrow descends, destruction begins. Consumerism starts various diseases in the mind and body. It destroys the softness of the mind, the beauty of behavior and the sweetness of speech. The worst aspect of money is that it increases pride in the mind of people. Which is the biggest obstacle to the development of humanity, to progress on the path of human welfare.

Those who have mental and spiritual happiness can make time enjoyable. Life then feels very personal. One can find the resources to survive in everything. Do not run after money only on someone’s advice, but stop and start searching for spiritual happiness only when you have acquired what is needed for life. While submitting the asset declaration requested by the government, it seemed that the less wealth one has, the less trouble he will have. This principle of the world will remain in force in the hereafter. A thorough explanation must be given for everything. Then, so that one does not have to regret the excess wealth. So that nothing is acquired illegally, dishonestly – be it physical enjoyment or spiritual peace. Honesty has its own power that shows people the path to happiness.
