West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the BJP was playing a divisive game ahead of the polls.

Opposing the implementation of India’s controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said the BJP was playing a divisive game ahead of the polls. They want to divide Bengal again. Wants to chase Bengalis. However, Mamata also threatened that she will not allow the implementation of this law in her state.

Taking part in the administrative meeting in Howrah on Tuesday, he said to the people, “Listen to one thing! None of you will apply to the Center for citizenship. If you do, your citizenship will be lost. Call you an illegal intruder. Your property will be taken away. Don’t fall into that trap!

The new amended Citizenship Act of the country was passed in 2019. Then on Monday, the central government of the country issued a notification regarding the implementation of the Citizenship Amendment Act. Mamata gave an initial response from Navanna immediately after the notification was issued. He practically roared from the government program in Howrah on Tuesday. Mamata also raised the question whether this law of the central government of the country is legal or not. In his words, “I have a lot of doubts about whether it is valid or not.” There is no clarity. Total bullshit.”

There is a question whether a state government can block the implementation of a central law. However, Mamata has made it clear that she will not allow the citizenship of anyone from Bengal to go away. He will shelter everyone. Left-ruled Kerala too has taken a similarly ‘hard-line’ stance on enforcing the CAA without Mamata.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has also said that the CAA will not be implemented in his state. In this regard, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that Kerala and Bengal can take this position, it was within the idea of the central government. That is why the special role of the state government has not been kept in the implementation of this law.

At the Howrah meeting, Mamata said, “BJP did this to play the game of division before the polls.” If so, why sat for four years? They want to divide Bengal again. Wants to chase Bengalis.

In this context, Mamata mentioned the incident in Assam in 2019. He said, “In 2019, citizenship of 1.9 lakh people was revoked in the name of NRC in Assam. 1.3 million of them are Bengali Hindus.

Many political analysts in India say that the BJP chose the pre-poll period to implement the CAA with the aim of polarisation. They say that the Trinamool in West Bengal and the CPM in Kerala and the Left are staunchly opposing it for the purpose of counter-polarization. According to them, the objective of the Trinamool in West Bengal and the CPM in Kerala is the same — to retain the minority vote. Just as Muslims are the majority minority in West Bengal, Kerala has Muslims as well as Christians.

Mamata said that she has also spoken to legal experts about this law. In his words, “It was done to harass people. And to win two or three seats. “Abolish their law,” he said. Stay in good health here. Don’t fall into any trap. In that case, this root and root will go to two roots. I am your guard against the zamindars.”

Mamata also talked about the CAA “form”. In his words, “It is written in one place on the form, about the father’s birth certificate. Those who are now 50-60 years old, all of them have their father’s birth certificate? I don’t even know my parents’ birthdays.
