For the brutality of just one night, Israel should be erased from the map forever. Last night’s airstrike by Israel killed 174 children, 89 women, and 32 elderly civilians. This is not their first crime; since the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, such atrocities have been ongoing. Carrying out airstrikes in the midst of ceasefire talks is not only barbaric and cowardly but also a blatant violation of international law.
Sadly, the reality is painful. Much of the Arab world seems distracted by indulgence rather than unity. If Arab nations truly stood united, it would take just weeks to hold Israel accountable. Ironically, Israel’s strongest allies and greatest enemies both lie within the Muslim world. While unity should bring strength, division among Muslims continues to cost the lives of innocent Palestinian women and children.
The West often champions human rights, but where are their voices now? In truth, these champions appear to be arms dealers and chaos-makers. Human rights should be for all humans—no distinction of race or religion. Yet the silence from Western powers in the face of such destruction in Gaza amounts to nothing less than silent consent for genocide. They are standing by, effectively supporting the murderers.
It seems the West has already handed Israel a blank check to kill Palestinian children and women. Their definition of terrorism conveniently excludes state-backed mass murder. In Gaza, even infants are painted as threats. If this isn’t a warped understanding of justice, what is? Thousands of Palestinians are being killed, homes destroyed, hospitals overwhelmed, and food is nearly gone—yet so-called defenders of human rights remain unmoved.
The role of many Arab leaders in this crisis is, at best, shameful. Some outright ignore the killings to maintain favour with Western powers, while others offer only symbolic statements. Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first Qibla for Muslims, is under occupation, and Gaza is turning into a graveyard—yet the silence from Muslim rulers continues, more focused on preserving power than protecting lives.
Israel’s actions have turned all of Palestine into a valley of death. In just one day, more children were killed than in the entire past year. Blood flows in the streets of Gaza. If Israel’s violence continues unchecked, one day there will be no one left to call the adhan (Islamic call to prayer) from Masjid Al-Aqsa. The broken, tearful call to prayer yesterday should have shaken the heart of every believer. But how deep must the water rise before the world wakes up?
To the global conscience—wake up. Muslims of every school of thought must put aside differences and unite for Palestine. It is an obligation. Confronting Israel’s aggression isn’t just political—it’s a moral duty. If we fail to act, we’ll all be accountable before God. The innocent children who perished last night will testify to our silence.
Those who side with killers, who fuel their war machines with money and trade, must be boycotted. Israeli products and businesses supporting apartheid must be rejected. Those who aid oppressors are no less guilty. As Muslims, we must distinguish between friend and foe.
The Middle East cannot heal as long as Israel continues its campaign of violence and occupation. Arab nations must break free from materialism and take a stand. Faith demands action. Even the lowest form of belief, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught, is to feel hatred for injustice in your heart. Today’s silence from the Muslim world is disgraceful—our ancestors would not have stood for this.
If they saw us today, the brave Muslims of the past would feel nothing but shame. To all who believe in justice and dignity, now is the time to stand with the oppressed people of Palestine. Silence today means accountability tomorrow—before God and before history. Prayer, fasting, and charity are not enough without standing against injustice.
To the people of the world, we call upon your humanity: stand for the innocent Palestinians, the children, the women. Those who bomb civilians in their sleep must face the International Criminal Court. Civilization cannot survive like this. If you remain silent, you too are stained with their blood.
The role of the United Nations has become deeply questionable. Peacekeeping missions are dispatched for lesser conflicts—but here, with a humanitarian catastrophe unfolding, the world body stands idle. This is a global disgrace. Every child and woman deserves a safe world. Children are innocent. Those who murder them must be stopped—by any and all peaceful means. If not, then the consequences—natural and divine—will come for us all.
