Canada’s largest bank Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has fired Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Nadine Ahn for violating the company’s code of conduct involving a confidential personal relationship with a colleague. The company informed this information last Friday.

Royal Bank of Canada announced the appointment of Katherine Gibson as interim chief financial officer to replace Ann.

In a statement, the bank said, after receiving the complaint against An, an investigation was started and it was found that he violated the bank’s code of conduct by having a secret intimate personal relationship with another employee.
Both the accused were dismissed. No comment was received from An.

An was previously Head of Investor Relations at RBC. In September 2021, he became the CFO of the bank.
