In the meantime, anti-Israel protests have started at Canada’s McGill University.

Following Columbia University in the United States, at least 40 pro-Palestinian protest camps have been established across the country’s campuses. The authorities are unable to handle the protests. The administration is under pressure. Columbia University’s senate has passed a resolution seeking an investigation into its president Minoshi Shafiq after police were called to the university.

In the meantime, anti-Israel protests have started at Canada’s McGill University. Similar to the movement on the US campus, the students are sitting in the movement in favor of the Palestinians by pulling tents on the McGill University campus.

Local media reported that the protesters are demanding that McGill and Concordia universities sever ties with the Zionist state and withdraw funding from Zionist academic institutions.

The authorities of the universities say that such tents are not allowed inside the university campus. Such activities can create confrontational situations similar to those in US universities.

McGill University authorities said they are aware of the student protests and will respect students’ freedom of expression to the extent that university laws allow such protests.
