Sadaqah : A vast courtyard of humanity!

Sadaqah goes beyond mere monetary donations. Your smile, good behavior, selfless help, and honest advice are all excellent forms of charity. In these times of declining morals and ethics, not harming others, not causing suffering, not causing harm, and not insulting others are also acts of Sadaqah. Our daily actions, words, and interactions can all be considered acts of Sadaqah if they do not cause pain or break anyone’s heart.

Imagine escaping a crisis, narrowly avoiding a disaster, or unexpectedly receiving something you never thought possible! Yet, someone else has suffered in the process. Have you ever considered why you were spared? Perhaps it’s the return on charity you’ve accumulated. When you encounter someone, even briefly, or when someone seeks your help, greet them with a smile. Even if you can’t help them, express your inability to do so with humility. If you cause pain or treat them rudely, you’re depriving yourself of a great reward

As humans, our abilities are limited. Yet, even within these limitations, we can touch the infinite! Whatever you invest, that’s what you’ll get back! If you keep a grumpy mood, if you always speak harshly, if you remain sullen, the glow of your good deeds will fade! If you deceive someone, if you trap someone, you will be imprisoned somewhere, you will always be stuck! In nature, every good deed returns twofold! Bad deeds return many times over.

Let us not refrain from good deeds as much as we can. Even if we speak with a smile to an enemy, anger diminishes. To befriend a stranger, to accompany a traveler, to impress someone in need, your smile, your humility, and your sincere attitude can act as a tonic. Try investing a little human capital once!

No one likes a harsh-tongued, rough-mannered, or sullen person. Even the dearest ones will not like them when needed! Humans have limitations! But there is no end to goodness. Even if you are good, there is always an opportunity to be better. But at least let there be this assurance, that if you cannot benefit someone, at least you will not harm them. By doing this much, you become a beautiful person, a noble person.
