Hadith Qudsi says that under the mother’s feet is the child’s heaven. In verse 8 of Surah Al-Kabut of the Holy Book, Allah Almighty said, “I have commanded man to be kind to his parents.” In Hinduism, it is said, “Mother is more precious than heaven.” In Christianity, it is said in the same way, “God is the father of the world.” Fatherly God loves every person like a child and wants to have a relationship with him. In fact, all religions clearly mention the importance of the status of parents.
In our country, parents who are over 70 are facing various problems. A survey shows that among the surviving elderly mothers, those above 70 years of age and without a husband, their problems are endless. Because when our parents got married, their age difference was at least 15-20 years. Because of this difference in age, fathers usually leave the illusion of the world much earlier than mothers and pass into the afterlife. He left his long-time partner a widow. As a result, the mother who lost her spouse fell into deep darkness. Then the children also become so busy with their families and children that they do not want to give time or provide necessary services to the old helpless pregnant woman. On the contrary, many children do not hesitate to treat this selfless pregnant mother in the net of selfishness and treat her cruelly. Our humanity then descends to the lowest level in all human parameters, and ferocious animality rises above all parameters. Let us indulge ourselves in hyena-like beastliness. But in all religions this evil act is prohibited. In the Islamic religion, in the Holy Qur’an, Surah Bani Israel, verses 23-25, Almighty Allah says, ‘And your Lord has commanded that you worship none but Him, and be kind to your parents. If one or both of them reach old age with you, do not utter the word uh to them and do not rebuke them. Speak to them humbly.’ ‘And lower the bow of humility in pity for them and say, O my Lord! Be kind to them as they brought me up with kindness as a child.” ‘Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts. If you are righteous, He is Forgiving to those who repent. In the Hindu scriptures, it is said that the name of the one who can rescue from the hell of idols is Son.
If we review the current activities of Putra, it should not be too difficult to understand how the meaning of the name Putra is presented. A father has not only brought his child into the world, but the only mission and vision of a father’s life is to provide complete security to the child with all the love and heart-wrenching care of body and mind.
Similarly, the sweetest word in the world is mother. If someone is betrayed by all her friends, a mother can never think that betraying her child will do him any harm. All the thoughts, all the adorations, all the austerities of a mother are for the welfare of the child. No one knows better than the mother what is good and what is bad in a child. Even if the child causes a lot of pain to the mother, there is nothing dearer to the mother than the smile of that child. When the child defecates while sleeping comfortably under warm clothes on a cold winter day, the compassionate mother cleans everything and arranges for the child to sleep again in a comfortable place. He took great pains to ensure the child’s overall well-being. A mother spares no effort to give her utmost for the safety of her child. Even if a compassionate mother has 10 children, the welfare of all of them does not change so much.
But many people despise and neglect their parents in their old age. For a little bit of money or self-interest, people are mistreated, whose life-long adoration was our well-being. Is it appropriate to misbehave with a father who is always worried about the good and bad of his child without thinking about his own good or bad? When the child’s mouth had no language, only crying, then the mother understood the true meaning of the child’s cry and fulfilled its necessary needs. Today that mother tries to convince us about her minimum needs, but why are we not listening to her needs, instead, we are being cruel to her? I learned the mother tongue from the mouth of the mother, understood, recognized, became familiar with everything, today I forgot that mother. How can I sleep peacefully in her illness today, who is passing through the last days of anxiety and intense service due to my illness? Even though I have a lot of money, I don’t spend a single penny on the treatment of my poor mother. What unknown animality devoured my humanity? Don’t you ever remember that line from the poet Jasimuddin’s poem ‘Palli Janani’-
‘Near the head, the lemon lamp burns round and round,
She immediately waved the single paran of her mother, … … …
Mother kisses Pandu’s cheek. Hands all over,
Maybe if she pours all the love she has in her heart with her.’
Many such compassionate mothers are destitute and helpless today; They are suffering due to lack of treatment and their children are busy in fulfilling their own needs. Forgot they have children too. Forgot they are old too. Their shadows also began to grow larger than their own length. So let’s atone for all the mistakes before sunset and leave behind the mirage and rush towards reality. Take care of diamonds by dropping glass and making real profits.
