
Flash floods caused by heavy rains in Afghanistan’s Baghlan province have killed more than 300 people. The Ministry of Afghan Refugee Affairs reported this information on Sunday (May 12). They said, 315 people were killed and 1,630 injured in Baghlan due to severe floods.
According to the ministry, the residents of Sheikh Jalal village and Sal town suffered the most damage.
2 thousand 665 houses were completely or partially damaged in this sudden flood. Besides, 1000 domestic animals have been gravely buried due to flood.
Baghlan province received unusually heavy rain last Friday night. Then there was a flash flood.
Badakshan province, central Ghor province and western Hera also suffered extensive damage to various infrastructures during Friday’s rains.
