
Pakistan’s former foreign minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi has been disqualified from contesting elections for five years by the country’s Election Commission (ECP).
He was disqualified under Article 63(1)(h) of the Constitution of Pakistan on Sunday (February 4), the country’s media outlet Geo News reported.
A notification issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan disqualified the veteran politician from contesting the February 8 general election and subsequent elections.
