Similarly, without animals, plants would lose their existence due to lack of carbon dioxide. So trees are our best friends. In the environment they keep us alive by creating a state of equilibrium for us. So the need for plantation is undeniable. If you want to build a healthy generation country, more plantations. Plantation has many beneficial aspects. As a result of urbanization and industrialization, trees are being cut down day by day. Homesteads or factories are being built on the spot by indiscriminately cutting down trees. As a result, the amount of carbon dioxide in the environment is increasing. Because trees are needed to absorb this harmful gas.
Already, many toxic gases are being added to the environment due to the continuous increase in the use of industries, motor vehicles and modern electrical equipment in the country. Global warming is increasing. And because of these poisonous gases, the current excessive temperature, lack of rain, alkalinity are all the problems. When there is an imbalance in the environment, it starts to adversely affect the whole animal ecosystem. Food shortages and housing shortages occur. Therefore, planting trees is very important to maintain the climate balance in the environment and make it livable. In our nature, trees or forests act as natural shields to protect us from disasters. Therefore, 25 percent of the country’s total area needs to be forested to protect the environment of the country. But we don’t have that in our country. Due to which natural calamities strike again and again causing massive damage. Severe disasters like storms, landslides, cyclones and cyclones continue to wreak havoc in the country. Due to land erosion, many people are losing their homes and becoming destitute. Every year this forest has been resisting disasters like devastating sea storms or cyclones. But due to various reasons, the trees of this forest have also started decreasing day by day. Which is a threat to our environment. Nowadays, many people are losing their lives due to lightning. Plantation of tall varieties is needed to prevent lightning. Which acts as a natural lightning rod. So plantation of trees is needed to make the environment habitable. Greenhouse effect is of concern to the whole world. Because the global warming has started to melt the polar ice caps. As a result of which the sea level will rise and a total of 10 countries including Bangladesh may be submerged in water. If something like this happens, it will be impossible for us to live. Therefore it is very important to reduce the global warming. That is why we want more plantations. Trees have a special contribution in the economy of our country. Many people gather their livelihood from the forest areas of our country. Some collect honey, some collect raw materials for making candles, make aesthetic furniture from bamboo and cane. The National Accounts Branch of Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) conducted a study on the contribution of trees to GDP.
Various types of furniture made from wood, bamboo, cane, wood, medicinal plants are being bought and sold in the market. Part of which is added to GDP. Our country is rich in natural resources. However, the rate at which the consumption of electricity and fuel gas is increasing will lead to a shortage of natural gas. Keeping this in mind, more trees should be planted. Because wood produced from trees as fuel saves natural gas. Moreover, when gas is burned, it mixes with the environment and causes air pollution. As the temperature in the environment has gone to an unbearable level, we are widely using electric fan heat-friendly devices. In which the consumption of electricity is increasing. And natural gas and coal have to be burned to produce more electricity. This is causing pressure on the natural resources as well as causing pollution to the environment. In this situation, planting more trees will reduce the temperature in the environment and save natural resources.
It should be noted that even today herbal medicine is gaining influence in the treatment of our country and is contributing to the recovery of the patient as a side effect free treatment method. But due to construction of homesteads, establishment of factories, and indiscriminate felling of trees, many trees with medicinal properties are on the verge of extinction. As a result, these manufacturing companies have to speed up the production of quality herbal medicine as per the demand. Therefore, planting trees is very important to keep our generation safe, to keep their medical system intact. There is no nutrient rich food compared to the amount of nutritional needs of the people of our country. And one of the reasons is sufficient fruit trees. lack of Fruits are one of the best sources of nutrition. But fruit trees are also being cut down as a result of deforestation due to various reasons. So that the problem of malnutrition in this country is evident. Mango, jam, jackfruit, banana, lychee, papaya, pineapple and other fruits of this country are rich in nutrients. Vegetables produced in the country are also rich in nutrients and vitamins. But as arable land is decreasing day by day, the production of vegetables is also decreasing. So we have to plant plants as much as possible to increase the production of these. We should plant trees wherever we can in the backyard, balcony, around the house, on the roof of the house. So that our environment is habitable for generations and problems like malnutrition are eliminated.
To increase plantations and preserve forests: In order to make the country suitable for a healthy generation, it is necessary to increase plantations and also preserve the forests of the country. It is advisable to take some steps towards this end. For example: public or private media on the contribution of trees to the environment and encouraging people from all walks of life to plant trees. Accelerating social forestry programs. Free distribution of trees among the people. Bringing dedication and transparency in the performance of the officers and employees assigned to the forest department. Bringing the illegal cutting of forest trees or those who cause damage to the forest under the law. Conservation of the country’s forests and conducting regular tree planting operations under government supervision. Elimination of corruption among officials. Adoption and implementation of forest programs along river banks, coastal areas, hilly areas and railways of the country. Preservation of sanctuaries and their round-the-clock monitoring.
Environmental conservation is necessary to make the country suitable for current and future generations. Because the way the environment is being polluted day by day, the temperature is increasing, the climate is changing negatively, the diversity of the seasons is decreasing if it continues for a long time, it will become difficult to live in the country.
