On December 9, 2022, at approximately 5:30 pm, Pembina Valley RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Provincial Road 428, located approximately three kilometres south of Roland, in the Rural Municipality of Roland.
The investigation has determined that a southbound pickup truck, being driving by a 62-year-old male from Winkler, was in the process of passing two vehicles when he collided with a northbound vehicle, being driven by a 26-year-old female from Reinfeld.
The 26-year-old was pronounced deceased on scene. The 62-year-old was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Pembina Valley RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
