As soon as we get time, it’s the mobile; where has the story of life disappeared?
Patrick D Costa

Life seems to be getting shorter day by day. Whenever we have free time, we get stuck on our mobile screens. Whether at train stations, bus stops, hotel rooms, or even sitting beside a patient in the hospital—everyone seems engrossed in the virtual world of their phones.
At home, on buses, trains, and planes—there is no escape from the grasp of mobile screens.
The beauty of nature, the warmth of a smile, the magic of eye contact—all are fading away behind the virtual world.
I remember the old days. When we went on trips, we would stay up late, listening to stories from our relatives. We would sit by the river, chatting with friends.
Sipping tea at a roadside stall, we would lose ourselves in endless conversations. Those gatherings, those stories, those bursts of laughter—everything now seems trapped within mobile screens. We have forgotten how to spend time in nature, how to engage in deep conversations, how to truly connect with others.
Undoubtedly, mobile phones have made our lives easier, but their excessive use has taken away the simple joys of life.
Sitting together with family for a meal, chatting with friends, spending time in the embrace of nature—these moments now feel like distant memories. We are becoming more and more isolated, imprisoned in a virtual world of our own making.
But think for a moment—aren’t these little moments what make life meaningful? Sitting by a river, sharing stories with a friend, staying up late reminiscing with loved ones, laughing together at a tea stall—this is what real life is about. While mobile phones have enhanced communication, are they not also distancing us from true human connections?
Let’s take a moment to return to nature.
Let’s lift our eyes from our mobile screens and look at the people around us. Let’s share stories, laughter, and emotions with them. Because life’s most beautiful moments are not found on a mobile screen—they are scattered all around us.
Instead of getting lost in the digital world, let’s rediscover the stories of life. Because the true beauty of life lies in shared laughter, heartfelt conversations, and genuine human connections.
