Do not expect everyone to value you; that would be a mistake, even foolish. Not everyone around you will have the ability to truly understand you. To some, you may be just an insignificant figure; to others, you may be the highly esteemed Mr. Matleb Chowdhury! But does it really matter what people think of you? No one can judge another beyond their own level of understanding. If this upsets you, keeps you from doing good, or makes you act differently than you should, then you, too, lack wisdom.
Education cannot be measured by certificates alone. One needs familial values, the ability to absorb positive lessons from society, and, most importantly, the drive to transform oneself. Many highly educated individuals lack humanity, while many laborers and workers are truly noble beings. A great writer or intellectual is not necessarily a great human being! You cannot judge what lies within someone just by their appearance. Many gems remain undiscovered by the roadside, and coal, in all its forms, stays buried deep within the earth. Even among coal, diamonds exist—you just need to know how to separate them. It is essential to value people simply as human beings. Making assumptions about someone without knowing them or passing unnecessary remarks is foolish—it only damages relationships.
Throughout life, you will encounter many ill-mannered people—those who find faults even after being treated generously! Some will mock your position, belittle your struggles, and try to suppress you. But does it matter? Your mind is your own. Where you engage it and which words affect you should be determined by your own choices. Do not allow unnecessary interference from others. Whether someone calls you a “sir,” whether they extend a hand to help, or whether they acknowledge your worth—none of it should matter. Let some things remain genuine and untouched. Love is of a different nature!
If you focus on mistakes, there will be no end to them. If you keep complaining, not everything will be resolved. Learning to be content with little is the key. Do not expect to be the chief guest on every stage of life. Sometimes, you are merely a spectator. Sometimes, you play the role of comic relief! Does it matter? The most crucial role in keeping yourself happy is your own. Lower your expectations. Adapt to any situation and go through life with a smile. Forget about what is served on your plate, where you sit in a vehicle, or how people perceive you. Learn to ignore certain things. You do not need to observe or think about everything. When your responsibilities end and your journey concludes, you must bid farewell with a smile.
If you force yourself to stay where you are not wanted, you will only invite disrespect. If you consider yourself too important in a gathering, you will only find disappointment. The more one craves something, the less they receive it. Stay simple, live humbly—life will reward you abundantly. It is not people who truly honor you, but the One above. Keep working with pure intentions, align your words with your beliefs—your destination is already set. Hope less, believe more—you will reach where you are meant to go. The path may be slippery, but the power that aids you belongs to the Almighty, whose strength is boundless!
