A bridge of conversation with loved ones!

A bridge of conversation with loved ones!

The depth of a relationship depends on communication. How long do you talk to your loved one every day? In your spouse’s eagerness to talk, how much do they receive in return from you? If you are always too busy, if your loved one cannot confide in you, or if you refuse to be a good listener—then what is the point of being there? If your presence and absence feel the same, then perhaps it is better not to be there at all.

Do all conversations end within just a few minutes each day? Or do you never feel the urge to call and talk with genuine interest? If you at least manage that much, there’s no issue. But if intimate conversations happen with someone else while your partner remains unaware, then stop. Prioritize your loved one. The deception hidden behind the excuse of being busy will come back in terrifying ways. Do not neglect your loved one under the pretense of work—it can have disastrous consequences.

More than talking to your loved one, listening to them is crucial. A speaker always cherishes an attentive listener. And if that speaker is your life partner, and the listener shows interest, then it’s an even greater blessing. The unspoken words that pile up throughout the day must be heard; if you show disinterest, those words will find a new listener. Most distances in a marriage arise due to not speaking and not listening.

When it comes to relationship complaints and grievances, the primary issue is often a lack of attentive listening. The second is not being able to speak freely! Let go of this stingy mindset! Let me joke a little—people can stay well even when physically apart if they maintain regular conversations. A lack of communication breeds distance. People are more enchanted by words than physical attraction. They become immersed in conversations.

One day, we will all grow old. The neglect of youth will return in old age as a form of retribution. So, plant the seeds of conversation now—you will later reap its fruits and enjoy its beauty. You can ignore your partner under the excuse of dissatisfaction; you can even survive without talking to the right person while indulging in conversations with the wrong one. But what will be the consequence? When desires and indulgences lose their allure, you may suffer from such loneliness that death itself might seem preferable. Not speaking isn’t a crime. But deceiving the right person while finding pleasure in conversation with the wrong one is a grave offense—a serious sin. There is a vast difference between unknowingly deceiving someone and knowingly doing so.

If you want to improve your relationship with your loved one, a verbal commitment is necessary. Even if your spouse talks about trivial things, you must be a patient listener. Even if you don’t actually listen, you should at least pretend to. If words meant for you die unheard, they will find a new soul to inhabit. Physical beauty may captivate for a moment, but to truly hold on to someone and remain in their heart, conversation has no substitute. Spend a few moments talking before you sleep. A world without words is difficult to live in. Yet, even the right words with the wrong person can create the wrong story. There is a special charm in friendship built on words—a kind of magical bond. Let words become the reason for your affection.

Take time to talk to your loved one whenever possible. Amidst your busy schedule, take a moment to check in—ask what they are doing, whether they have eaten, or how they are feeling. The love that grows from such small inquiries cannot be understood by those who have never experienced it. Going out together occasionally, indulging in hobbies, shopping for little joys, or even having late-night debates over a cup of tea—these are the beauties of a relationship! Don’t just finish work and go straight to sleep. Talk. Listen. Many words remain hidden—discover them.

There is a unique tenderness in the yearning of heartfelt conversations. If you stay silent now or take the wrong path, regret will follow. No one should have to face such misfortune. So, cherish your loved one with care and create your own special story. The memories you create with love and attention today will one day become the joyful recollections of your old age.
