American business magazine Forbes has released the ninth edition of its ‘Asia Under 30’ list. 9 Bangladeshis have made it.

American business magazine Forbes has released the ninth edition of its ‘Asia Under 30’ list. 9 Bangladeshis have made it.

This list has published the list of 300 people under 30 years of age in Asia. Some of whom are young entrepreneurs, leaders and innovators. They have brought innovation and change through their work in the Asia Pacific region.

These 9 Bangladeshis got a place in this list due to their contribution in various sectors. They are Anusha Alamgir, Mehdi Samar, Redwan Ahmed, Md. Shahidul Islam, Abdul Ghaffar Sadi, MD Tushar, Sultan Mani, Mumtahina Anika and Fahad Ahmed.

Anusha Alamgir: Anusha Alamgir has been placed in the Art category. Anusha, who holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Royal College of Art, London, was the only Bangladeshi woman at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition at the 2023 Venice Biennale.

His film ‘Purda’ was based on the veiling of Muslims and became quite popular.

Mehdi Samran (HelloTask): Mehdi Samran, co-founder of HelloTask, was placed in the Consumer Technology category. He started working in September 2017. It started out as Robot Dako, but now it’s called Halotask.

First started with on-demand delivery, but on February 18, the housekeeper service was launched by the HelloTask application. The housekeeper can be called through this app from 8 am to 7 pm by providing the location of the house in the app.

To take this service will cost 100 taka per hour as service charge. 50 taka extra is charged for the first hour. Many do not call domestic workers and do not work later, so Tk 50 is taken only once as transportation.

Redwan Ahmed: Redwan Ahmed, is an award-winning freelance journalist. He was placed in Media, Marketing and Advertising category. Her notable works include reporting on the Rohingya crisis and the exploitation of garment factory workers.

Md. Shahidul Islam, Abdul Ghaffar Sadi and MD Tushar (Drutloan): Their fintech platform named Drutloan has brought a wide range of services. This includes local MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises). It aims to simplify the process of getting a loan. One of the advantages of quick loans is that there is no need to visit financial institutions repeatedly to avail their services. As a result, it will be easier for businesses to take loans and they will be able to contribute more to the economic development of disadvantaged areas of the country.

Sultan Moni, Mumtahina Anika (Jatiq): Co-founders of Jatik, Sultan Moni and Mumtahina Anika, have been placed in the Finance and Venture Capital category. Jati provides accounting software and hardware to other companies. The company also makes tools for small businesses to build e-commerce websites.

Fahad Ahmed (Wind App): Fahad Ahmed, co-founder of ‘Wind.app’ has made it to the Forbes list in the Finance and Venture Capital category. ‘Wind Dot App’ facilitates cross-border remittances at a fast and very low cost. The startup has received $3.8 million in funding.

Before ‘Wind.app’, Fahad Ahmed worked in ‘Pathao’. He was one of the founding team of ‘Pathao’ and launched various services there.
