London Drugs, a major pharmacy chain in Western Canada, has temporarily closed all its stores after suffering a cyberattack on April 28th. The company took immediate action, hiring cybersecurity experts to investigate and address the situation.

While London Drugs assures customers and employees that there’s no evidence of data compromise, customers with urgent prescription needs can contact their local pharmacy for assistance.

The company emphasizes that the incident is a top priority and stores will reopen as soon as possible. The online store remains operational.

This incident follows a similar cyberattack on Empire Company, owner of Sobeys, Lawtons, and other Canadian stores, in 2022. That attack resulted in compromised customer and employee data.
